When our clients first reached out to Farha Syed Design, they had just moved into their beautiful new home at White Oak Pond. Excited for a fresh start, they were eager to make the space feel truly theirs—a reflection of their personalities, values, and the joyful life they envisioned building there. They wanted a home that was undoubtedly modern but still inviting, layered with comfort and character, perfect for entertaining the family and friends they loved hosting.

Every design choice we made was about striking that balance: fresh, modern elements paired with warmth, softness, and thoughtful personal touches that told their story.

The formal living room was designed as a sophisticated yet welcoming space where guests could be easily entertained. Clean lines, luxurious textiles, and thoughtfully layered decor create an environment that feels both polished and relaxed, making it a perfect extension of the family’s hospitality.

Designed for both intimate family meals and festive gatherings, the dining room features a sleek, modern table paired with plush, upholstered chairs. Subtle metallic accents and a tailored rug bring a refined yet approachable feel to the space.

In the powder room, a canvas of deep navy comes alive with slender copper lines, creating a sense of rhythm and movement. A bold, sculptural mirror framed in gold anchors the design, while warm metallic accents and curated greenery add soul and softness. Small in scale, this room was designed to deliver a lasting impression—elegant, unexpected, and full of personality.

The tall, soaring wall of the stairwell became a striking design moment in the home. We installed a curated collection of staggered mirrors, each carefully placed to create a rhythmic, artful composition that draws the eye upward. The mirrors not only add dimension and reflect light beautifully, but they also turn the stairwell into a statement feature—elegant, impactful, and perfectly aligned with the home’s modern yet inviting aesthetic.

The primary bedroom is a bold yet serene retreat. A dramatic wallpaper sets the mood for the space, adding a sense of richness and intimacy. The furnishings, chosen with a slightly distressed finish, lend a collected, lived-in character that contrasts beautifully against the more polished backdrop. Elegant, sculptural lamps provide the perfect finishing touch, offering soft, ambient lighting that enhances the room’s relaxed, luxurious atmosphere.

One of the most joyful spaces to design, the daughter’s room needed to capture her vibrant, playful spirit while being a space she could grow into. She had a clear vision: incorporate her favorite colors (a cheerful, lively palette), showcase her love for dance, and make it a room that felt truly hers.
