A kitchen or bathroom remodel through Designer By Your Side has its own rhythm depending on scope, contractor schedules, and lead times on materials.
The honest truth about timelines: they are collaborative. I keep the project moving with clarity and organization. And I will always be transparent with you if something shifts. A lead time extends, a delivery is delayed, a material is discontinued. Those things happen in design. What matters is that you are never left wondering.
One thing I would encourage you to resist: the impulse to rush. The homeowners who trust the process and let it unfold at the pace it needs always end up with the most beautiful, considered results. You may have seen the ads. AI can now generate rooms. It can pull together a color palette, suggest furniture, show you a rendered version of a space you have never set foot in. And some of that is genuinely useful, both for designers and for homeowners exploring ideas.
But there is something those ads are not telling you.
A rendered room is not a home. It does not know that you take your shoes off at the door and need a place for everyone to land. It does not know that your mother's textile needs to anchor the space without overwhelming it, or that your partner loves warmth and you love light and somehow both of those things need to be true at the same time. It does not know how you move through a room at seven in the morning, or what your children need from a space as they grow into it.
AI can generate options. It cannot understand a life.
What I bring to a project is years of trained instinct, cultural fluency, the ability to listen between the lines, and the judgment to know when a technically correct choice is still the wrong one for your home. Design is not a prompt. It is a relationship between a space, the people who live in it, and a designer who knows how to hold all of those things at once.
