It’s that time of year when designers head to Highpoint Market for the latest designs and trends in furnishings, accessories, lighting, fabric patterns. Miles and miles of showrooms to cover in a week, along with industry experts who offer seminars and classes for the designers’ to update our skills so we can better serve You, our clients. We bring our fresh inspiration from this week-long excursion and return with ideas churning in our heads, that we can’t wait to use in your home. I was not able to go this Spring, but I am planning to go in the Fall. Really excited!!

Having said that, I as a designer, am committed to bringing the high-quality products to my clients’ through my designs for their homes and taking care of you throughout the entire process of completing your project on time and most importantly on budget. Having direct relationships with my vendors and trades lends me the advantages and perks that designers enjoy, and I can offer my clients the same experience by working with me.
As an independent interior designer, on behalf of my clients’, I risk a great many things just so I can practice what I am passionate about. Some of the risks are my own reputation which is very important to me, project management, and the trades that I bring to do the job. I am taking care of dealing with any delays that may be caused by the vendor. Making sure that all products that arrive are what was ordered, and are not damaged. If they are damaged I take care of all the headaches of returning those items and getting replacements. A lot of our work is behind the scenes making sure everything runs like a well-oiled machine.
Great relationships are built on the know like and trust factor, whether they are with vendors or with clients. When it’s with vendors, we are assured that they have our backs by offering their best quality products to us, so we can then bring those to our clients. And clients’ need to be assured that their designer has their backs and will deliver all that she/he has said that they will do for them. The processes that we follow for all our projects are the system that keeps everything as clear for our clients and thus making the experience as smooth as possible.
