When my clients first reached out, they had just moved into their newly built home a few months earlier. With two young children their daughter a fifth grader at the time, they wanted their new house to feel warm, welcoming, and truly theirs. The home was a blank slate, full of potential, and they trusted me to turn it into their family haven.

Their vision was clear: a contemporary home that felt bold yet inviting, sophisticated but comfortable. They wanted a space that reflected their lifestyle, where they could relax together as a family, host friends with ease, and come home to a sense of calm after busy days.

The Vision

From the beginning, my goal was to balance style and soul. The architecture provided clean lines, tall ceilings, and generous natural light, the perfect backdrop for a layered, contemporary design that still felt warm and grounded.

Through my Turn-Key Interior Design service, we guided every step, from concept development and selections to furnishings, art, and final styling, ensuring each room felt connected to the next and the home told one cohesive story.

What started as a main-level and primary bedroom project naturally expanded into the entire lower level, the daughter’s room, and the loft area, allowing the design to tell one complete story throughout the home.

The Challenge

When I first walked into the home, the interiors lacked definition. The architecture had great potential, natural light, open sightlines, and thoughtful proportions, but the finishes and furnishings didn’t yet reflect the homeowners’ vision. My clients wanted a home that felt polished yet comfortable, layered with texture and warmth but still easy to live in day to day.

The main challenge was creating flow between open-concept spaces while giving each area its own sense of purpose and intimacy. My goal was to bring balance through color, texture, and form so the home felt harmonious from one room to the next.

The Design Plan

We began with a refined neutral palette anchored in soft grays and dark oak tones, complemented by textured fabrics and subtle metallics for depth.

The living room was grounded by a plush area rug and a curated mix of seating that encourages conversation while maintaining visual balance.
The dining area featured a contemporary bar pendant lighting with clear glass shades to create ambiance and define the space within the open floor plan.
In the bedrooms, tactile textiles, soft neutral palettes with some strong colors for sofas, and tailored details established calm, restful retreats that still echoed the home’s overall warmth.

Every furnishing, fabric, and accessory was selected, ordered, and installed through our turnkey process, allowing my clients to really enjoy their home into a complete and finished home that felt effortless and cohesive.

Signature Details

One of my favorite aspects of this project was the use of dark bold wallpaper as a unifying element in multiple rooms to tie each of the rooms. Its cool undertone ran through furniture, and bala nced by bold accents, giving the home a grounded and organic feel. Layered textures from woven fabrics to matte ceramics, added quiet sophistication, while curated artwork brought a sense of personality to every space. The end result feels timeless, inviting, and distinctly tailored to how my clients live.
